A Family Business Meeting The Needs of Visalia

In 1962, Frank Torres started Frank's Appliance, a part time business repairing and delivering appliances in Visalia. In the early years of the business, Frank delivered appliances for K-mart and Gemco. As Frank's sons Mike and Greg grew older, they started helping out with the deliveries. After 25 years of continual growth as a service only business, Frank's Appliance opened a 900 square foot showroom selling 12 units. Today, Frank's Appliance has a two showrooms totaling 7,000 square feet with over 300 appliances displayed. When Frank retired in 1993, Greg and Mike took over the operations of the business, although Frank still comes in every day to see how things are going.
